Finding the Salon

Chameleon Beauty Salon sits at 2039 Montrose Ave, in the middle of the Montrose Shopping Park in Montrose, Los Angeles. If you are coming from the 210, exit at Ocean View or Pennsylvania and head south, and you will reach Montrose Avenue within a few minutes. From Glendale, Honolulu Avenue takes you straight into the shopping park. Clients regularly drive to us from Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Burbank, Pasadena, Tujunga, and Sunland, and most of those trips land between ten and twenty minutes.

Parking

There is free street parking along Montrose Avenue and the side streets running off it, plus free public lots tucked behind the shopping park on both sides. Saturdays and the Sunday farmers market are the busiest stretches, so if you are booked on a weekend, give yourself an extra five minutes to find a spot. If you circle twice and come up empty, call us and we will point you at the closest lot with space.

Booking an Appointment

Call or text (818) 523-6227 to book. For color, extensions, keratin, bridal, or a trichology consultation, reach out a week or two ahead, since those services need longer blocks of time and are the first to fill. Haircuts, blowouts, and brow work can often be scheduled within a few days. Walk-ins are genuinely welcome whenever the schedule allows, so it is always worth calling to ask about the same day.

Your First Visit

Every new client starts with a consultation, even for something straightforward. We look at your hair's history, your texture, and what you are hoping for, then tell you honestly what is achievable in one appointment and what may take more than one. Bring inspiration photos if you have them. If you are coming in for color or balayage, mention any box dye, henna, or previous lightening when you call, because that changes how we plan the session.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

Life happens and we would always rather hear from you than not. If you need to move or cancel an appointment, call or text as early as you can, ideally at least twenty-four hours ahead. Long color, extension, and bridal appointments hold several hours of a stylist's day, so early notice lets us offer that time to someone on the waitlist. If you are running late, call rather than rushing, and we will tell you honestly whether the full service still fits or whether it is better to reschedule.

Bringing Children and Guests

You are welcome to bring someone with you. The salon is not large, so if you are coming with children during a long color service, keep in mind it can be a lot of hours for them. For bridal parties and group bookings, tell us the headcount when you call and we will plan the space and the schedule around it.

Gift Certificates and Questions About Pricing

Gift certificates are available for any amount or any service, and we can arrange one over the phone. As for pricing, we quote after a short consultation rather than publishing a flat list, because hair length, density, condition, and how much lift you want change the number considerably. Call and describe what you are after and we can give you a realistic range before you come in.

Hours and What to Expect

We are open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM and closed on Sunday. A cut and style typically runs an hour to ninety minutes, root touch-ups around two hours, and full highlights or a color change anywhere from three to five hours. We will give you a realistic time estimate when you book so nothing about your day comes as a surprise.
